Job Description

About the Role:

* This is a fantastic opportunity to join the core group working on Speech Recognition at SoundHound
* Research state-of-the-art methods in Automatic Speech Recognition
* Collaborate with Machine Learning engineers to prototype and productionize promising methods

Requirements:

* Experience with Automatic Speech Recognition systems
* Knowledge of ASR technologies such as: acoustic modeling, language modeling, HMM, WFST, neural networks, feature extraction
* Solid software engineering experience
* Hands-on experience in any full stack ASR tool kit, e.g. Sphinx, Kaldi, HTK, Julius
* PhD in Speech Recognition or equivalent
* At least ten years experience in the ASR space

Nice-to-haves:

* Research work/publications in applying Deep Learning methods to Speech Recognition
* Deep fluency with academic fields relevant to Speech Recognition
* Experience in computer vision and pattern recognition
* Knowledge of DSP principles, noise reduction, echo cancelation
