BIOVIA's Professional Services division provides customers with top quality custom solutions for individual customers based on the company's software products. This specific role will work closely with our Life Sciences customer base implementing and customizing impactful solutions, focusing on BIOVIA's Foundation and Pipeline Pilot products http://accelrys.com/products/biovia-foundation/ This is a great opportunity to develop unique commercial grade applications that are anything but boring.

Requirements A qualified candidate will either possess a Bachelor's Degree along with either a background or interest in Chemistry/Biology or possess an MS/PhD degree in a Chemical or Biological or engineering field. A minimum of 5 years' of experience developing commercial software products preferred (not required).

Preferred technical skills:

* Knowledge and proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript, Perl).
* Strong SQL skills and database knowledge, Oracle preferred.
* Knowledge and proficiency in web technologies and formats (such as HTML, CSS, DOM, JSON, XML, REST, SOAP).
* Object-oriented design skills and development experience using OOP languages such as in C# / .NET /Java is not required but is considered a plus.
* Knowledge in the area of digital Chemical representation such as SD/MOL file formats and chemical data storage is preferred.
* Knowledge of common Bioinformatics representations such as FASTA and HELM along with Bioinformatics storage solutions will also be considered.
* A familiarity with Pipeline Pilot / Accelrys Enterprise Platform is preferred.
