Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Solutions Architect to our location in Renton WA, Seattle WA, Portland OR or Beaverton OR.

We are starting the migration of data and compute from our large scale on-premises infrastructure to the cloud and building out a powerful automation infrastructure as well. We are streamlining the confusing and inefficient processes to deliver applications to our hundreds of clinics and dozens of hospitals. We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to be an individual contributor that provides architecture and design services primarily for cloud-based solutions. This Senior Solutions Architect provides cloud expertise for IS and the organization's business units. Staying current on the rapidly emerging new services and innovations occurring in the cloud service industry is a core expectation. The Senior Solutions Architect collaborates closely with the IS Architecture, IS Security, IS Operations, and other IS Engineering teams to architect, design, and oversee the implementation of business solutions. This role is expected to maintain expertise in cloud architecture patterns and best practices and communicate those patterns and practices effectively to others in the organization.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

* Application of cloud architect knowledge and experience using tools to provide secure, performant, and effective business solutions.
* Provide architecture and design of solutions in AWS, Azure, or Google cloud environments.
* Research and provide recommendations on cloud-based services and products.
* Work collaboratively with business units to determine and/or refine solution requirements.
* Produce architecture and high-level design of solutions with gross cost estimates.
* Determine requirements for operating solution and provide cost analysis of solution.

Required qualifications for this position include:

* Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent educ/ experience.
* 6 years in role providing relevant experience.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* Software or Solutions Architect with Cloud focus.
* Coursework/ Training AWS, Azure, or Google cloud environments.
* Cloud certification (AWS, Azure or Google).
* 4 years in team member or scrum master role using Agile process and practices.
