Senior Software Ops Engineer - Front End

Capital One's Technology Operations Delivery and Support Team is seeking a full stack Software Engineer with a focus on front end technology. As a Capital One Software Engineer, you'll work on everything from customer-facing web and mobile applications using cutting-edge open source frameworks, to highly-available RESTful services, to back-end Java based systems using the hottest techniques in Big Data. You'll bring solid experience in emerging and traditional technologies such as node.js, Java, AngularJS, React, Python, REST, JSON, XML, Ruby, HTML / HTML5, CSS, NoSQL databases, relational databases, Hadoop, Chef, Maven, iOS, Android, and AWS/Cloud Infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

* Design and implement frontend for partner-facing web applications
* Assist in requirements gathering for partner-facing tools
* Work with backend data team to understand how to present data
* Develop visualizations for reporting purposes
* Develop mobile versions of web apps and reports

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; or military experience
* At least 4 years of experience in front end application building using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (Angular, React)
* At least 3 years of experience in object-oriented design, data structuring, and algorithm design
* At least 2 years of experience in Git

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
* 1+ years setting up CI/CD pipelines and/or Dockerizing applications
* 2+ years designing enterprise web applications
