Job Description

The charter of the Azure Security group is to ensure that Azure is the most secure and resilient cloud platform. We are responsible for system integrity and health attestation, encryption and data protection, identity and access management, secrets/key management and other security capabilities for the Azure platform running at cloud scale. Required Qualifications:

* 3+ years of software development experience in a product group.
* BS Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Strong design and development experience that includes development in C#/C++/C, preferably with distributed programming models.
* Passion in building and designing very large-scale systems; prior experience in building large scale online systems is a big plus.
* Demonstrated problem solving and debugging skills.
* Experience in Windows client, server OS security and applied cryptography is a strong plus. Ability to go deep in security features.
* Knowledge of hardware firmware is highly desirable.
* Ability to learn and grasp concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment is critical to success.
* The ability to multi-task while balancing short term and long-term needs is essential.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

This is a key role on a highly visible v-Next project responsible for architecting and implementing a scalable and secure platform that enables and innovates security from the supply chain, hosting platform all the way through the VMs, provides built-in capabilities in the platform for health attestation and protecting customer's data at rest. You will be working in a fast-paced environment to deliver and integrate highly-available, distributed services - working directly with partners across Azure to design and implement solutions end-to-end that integrate with brand new Azure compute features like Managed disks, Virtual machine scale sets.
