We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is tenacious about understanding what developers need and brings a positive energy to help the team move forward. You'll work closely with the Xamarin Android, Xamarin iOS, Visual Studio for Mac teams as well as with the developers working on .NET foundations.

The primary responsibilities for this role involve working on the Mono runtime, that powers Xamarin Mobile platform and Visual Studio for Mac. This includes the AOT compiler, LLVM interface, cross-platform interoperability, and integration with existing and new products. If you are passionate about developers' tools and C#, excited by continually learning in an ever-changing environment and market, and above all love to focus on customers and building products they love, we want to hear from you!

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience

5+ years of professional experience designing and developing high-quality software

Ability to work with distributed teams across the globe

Expert proficiency in C/C++ or similar

In-depth knowledge of .NET platform

Excellent communication skills including high English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with developing or contributing to an open source project (preferred)

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
