Job summary
The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will work as part of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Virtualization team. You'll help this distributed, global team develop and maintain Kernel-based Virtual Machines (KVM), a core technology of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Primary job responsibilities
* Enhance the performance and scalability of KVM on Intel 64 and AMD64 architectures in a real-time environment
* Design and develop new, complex Virtualization features for KVM
* Maintain the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Virtualization stack in KVM and QEMU
Required skills
* Proven C and machine language programming expertise
* Low-level Linux and real-time system development experience
* Experience with the Intel 64 and AMD64 processor architectures
* Experience with hypervisors and processor virtualization features and extensions
