The Windows Containers team is part of the Base Kernel team and works on the core of Windows. Our team is focused on delivering Windows and Hyper-V Container technologies for various Azure cloud and desktop/laptop/mobile scenarios ranging from high-density cloud virtualization to improved security for the enterprise.

We're looking for an experienced developer who loves to learn, solve interesting challenges, and dream up new ideas. You'll be an integral part of a small and highly-capable team, working on a critical and strategic project. You'll help determine how best to leverage existing code and retrofit it to support or run in a containerized environment. You'll collaborate with other seasoned engineers, learn a ton and break new ground in what's possible with Windows. This is a highly visible and impactful role with a clear link to the success of Microsoft as a company.

Qualifications:

* 7+ years' experience with C/C++
* 5+ years' experience with operating systems internals and concepts
* BS in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience

* Strong design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills
