The AWS Container Services organization is responsible for building and operating some of the core services that help customers run containerized microservices, including Amazon ECS, AWS Fargate, Amazon ECR, and AWS App Mesh. We have an ambitious roadmap that seeks to redefine how our customers build their applications and run them at scale. One of our big areas of investment is in Developer Experience team that is tasked with giving developers and operators simple yet powerful experiences that allow them to focus on their code and business needs without the need to become experts at the underlying container orchestration services. To achieve this vision, we are looking for engineers who have great empathy for builders, a deep understanding of modern application development, experience with open source development, and the ability to communicate best practices to customers and bring key customer requirements back to the team.

If you are someone who is passionate about building high quality services, in delighting developers, and have a passion for customers and developer relations, this job is for you. On some days you will be writing code for tools and services that help customers, on others you will be contributing code to open source projects like Spinnaker or Terraform, and other other days you will be helping the rest of the team understand key customer pain points and advocating on their behalf. You will mentor junior engineers, participate in product definition and roadmap prioritization, and participate in key events and conferences.
