Day-to-day responsibilities include:

* Build frameworks to simulate and validate the motion planning and controls stacks across a wide range of scenarios.
* Build frameworks to scale, analyze, and visualize simulations
* Work closely with AV Controls, QA, Systems Engineering and other Simulation teams
* Create critical safety systems that improve the performance and safety of our fleet

You should apply for this role if you have the following qualifications:

* At least 3+ experience writing modern C++ in a production environment
* Experience designing and deploying complex systems
* Familiarity with classical or modern controls
* BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, EE, MEng, or an equivalent Mathematical field
* Passion for self-driving technology and its potential impact on the world

Bonus Points:

* Experience with python, ROS, and distributed systems.
* Experience with model predictive control, numerical optimization, or estimation theory
* Experience using commercial automotive simulation software such as CarSim
* Experience in code optimization or high performance computing
