Job Description

Microsoft Retail Stores has an opening for a Senior Software Engineer that will implement the microservice layer for our ecommerce platform. We are looking for someone that not only understands what it takes to implement a world class data layer but also knows how to operate internet scale websites.

Knowledge, experience and skills:

* 5+ years of experience designing and developing software systems.
* A BS, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
* Experience developing production code in JavaScript, preferably using NodeJS framework.
* Experience designing and implementing scalable and secure REST APIs.

Describe the ideal candidate:

* Experience developing event-driven microservice architectures (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, OpenWhisk).
* Outstanding technical problem solving and debugging capability.
* Solid written and verbal communication skills.
