Senior Software Engineer, App Services Unity

Job Description

We are looking for a conscientious Senior Software Engineer to join our Application Services team. We are the team that builds complex, highly available, and scalable real-time services that power the voice network. We require dedication, provide great work flexibility, and offer a stimulating work environment.

Vivox, part of Unity, is the leading provider of group voice communication for games and beyond. We provide and operate the communication technology for some of the world's largest games including Fortnite, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, and Rainbow Six Siege. Responsibilities

* Architect, build, debug, and test server-side code
* Automate everything non-trivial, especially test cases
* Use metrics to guide decision making, adding metrics where they are lacking
* Troubleshoot issues across the entire technology stack, client to network to service
* Work with the Operations team to ensure high-quality deployments, resolve live issues, and analyze past issues

Requirements

* Computer Science degree or equivalent relevant experience
* Strong skill set and knowledge
* Ability to share knowledge with others well, both verbally and in writing

Bonus points

* Experience building distributed systems
* Erlang or other functional language
* Python, preferably Twisted
* C++
* Network programming
* Linux
