We currently have a full-time opening for a Senior Software Engineer in Carlsbad, CA. The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of BREG's mobile health platforms. In this role, patient-facing and clinic facing applications are written and supported in both Objective C and SWIFT. He/She works closely with the development team in the design and workflow process, along with aiding the UI/UX developer in the specific functions of the delivery of the applications. He/She working in conjunction with the development team will create mobile applications unified with Bluetooth sensors, mobile scanning devices, and other third-party connectors with native mobile technology. The role will require creativity, extensive experience in mobile development, and collaborative experience working with designers, middleware developers, and database architects. This position contributes to the development of Breg's mobile Health platform. Collaborates with product managers, users, and internal teams in the product development lifecycle.

Your day will be very busy… you will:

* Collaborate with the senior application architect to develop and implement mobile applications for use by patients
* Analyze raw sensor data and implement software code to process or transform data into usable input for 3D visualization and further analysis in the orthopedic space.
* Develop Objective-C iOS-based libraries and applications targeting iPad and iPhone.
* Develop SWIFT-based iOS code and front-end applications for iPad and iPhone
* Create and maintain application development/design documentation.
* Collaborate with internal and external development teams to integrate code/libraries.
* Plan and developer with database and middleware team to develop consolidated solutions for patient offerings
* Work with user experience and user interface designers to detail workflows, stories, and requirements.

What your background will be:

* A bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or other related field of study and 5+ years relevant experience to include visual computing experience, or equivalent combination.
* Required experience includes creating and maintaining iOS applications; quaternion, dual quaternion, and matrix algebra; OpenGL ES on iOS; and distributed revision control systems. Some knowledge of REST web services.
* Preferred experienced includes Core Bluetooth on iOS; Git; Swift; and working in an Agile (Scrum) development..
