You'll face all the typical work rigors: write code, tests, documentation, bugfixes, scale/performance enhancements, etc. That's the same no matter where you go. This particular role will be an individual contributor on our Core Platform Engineering team. The Core Platform is our cloud-scale API and event-stream ingestion engine, delivering data intelligence to our Full Stack and UI/UX teams for computation and rendering to the end-users. It's the nucleus of our platform; are you the nuclear physicist ready to wield its secrets?

Requirements:

* 5-7+ years of Java (Groovy is cool, too).
* Experience with Golang (or strong demonstrated desire to learn)
* Testing with Junit and Spock. (We love tests!)
* Apache Storm or related distributed computing experience is a huge plus!
* Familiarity with large-scale distributed service layers like: Kafka, Zookeeper, etc.
* Motivation to build awesome software without handholding -- we're all adults here.
* Development experience on AWS/GCP/Azure
