Position Purpose:

The Company Store, acquired by The Home Depot a little over a year ago, is looking for an innovative, big thinker with a knack for all things SEO. As a Senior SEO Analyst at The Company Store, you will help plan and execute search engine optimization and marketing programs designed to increase sales and raise awareness of our brand and product offerings. You will also collaborate with merchandising, operations and marketing managers to activate new product launches, manage existing product offerings and coordinate sales events and promotions.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

* Plan, develop and implement search engine optimization (SEO) strategies for thecompanystore.com to improve natural search sales
* Manage onsite/offsite optimization projects and reporting on weekly performance. (onsite: product metadata, site speed, redirects, internal links. off-site: incoming links)
* Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
* Planning and executing marketing plans for organic and paid search.
* Campaign planning, ongoing optimizations and weekly reporting. Partner with Advertising, Marketing, Merchandising & Operations.
* Educate organization regarding organic marketing programs
* Manage outside vendors and agencies to ensure execution of programs.
* Perform keyword research in coordination with company business objectives to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities

Nature and Scope:

Typically reports to Sr. Manager

Environmental Job Requirements:

* Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

* Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must be eighteen years of age or older.
* Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:

* The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2+ years of relevant SEO work experience
* Experience with SEO business related tools such as Bright Edge, Conductor Searchlight, Google AdWords and Google Webmaster Tools
* In depth knowledge of current and developing SEO trends and best practices with a solid understanding of UX
* Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and content marketing: target audiences, keywords, linking, anchor text, success measurement and reporting
* Ability to be deadline oriented with long and short- term projects.
* Agency experience a plus
* Experience creating digital content and copywriting a plus
* Bachelor degree required. Ability to approach problems systematically, researching all alternatives and making appropriate recommendations.
