Job Description

GuidePoint's Senior Security Consultants are responsible for the end to end execution of enterprise security engagements and professional services. They fuel solutions through their expertise and creativity to ensure security engagements empower an organization's security program, technology and related investments. In short, they solve an organization's most challenging security problems via our professional service team.

The Job Responsibilities of a Senior Consultant are broad and may vary based on level of expertise and experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

* Serve as the lead technical resource for the delivery of various security focused consulting engagements
* Provide ongoing sales support for Account Executives as related to GuidePoint's professional service portfolio as well as various technical and production solution sets
* Assist with the architectural review, implementation or technical assessment of customer's security related technologies and related policies and procedures
* Communicate technical security concepts to customer staff, from leadership to operational personnel
* Represent Guidepoint's technical, business, and professional values to customers, partners, and peers
* Attend industry trade shows, events and security related conferences
* Learn new and emerging technologies, including related certifications (vendor / Industry)
* Assist with new business pursuits, proposals and other efforts within the sales process
* Consultant will work from their home office and customer locations as required
* Must be willing to travel up to 20-50%

Qualifications:

* 5+ years industry or consulting security experience working in a large enterprise environment
* Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with the client on a daily basis
* Strong technical writing skills
* Willingness to train others and lead engagement teams
* Fundamental understanding of software, computer, and network architectures.
* Expertise in Security Architecture, vulnerability management program management, operational activities, and technical toolsets
* Proficiency in one or more of the following security technologies: SIEM, UBA, EDR / Endpoint, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Proxy, Endpoint, and general networking background
* Working knowledge of security governance, compliance frameworks, and technical hardening standards (e.g. PCI, HIPAA, COBIT, NSF, CIS, NIST, etc.)
* Obtain and maintain certifications and CPEs
* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems Management of Similar Field
* Active CISSP, CISA, CISM, and/or GSEC certifications highly desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

An Ideal candidate would have detailed experience in one or more of the following:

* Operational and technical experience with Splunk and Splunk ES
* Operational / Strategic Familiarity and Operational Experience with User Behavior Analytics Solutions (e.g. Exabeam).
* Familiarity and Operational Experience with End Point Detection and Response Solutions.
* Experience with Privilege Access Management Solutions (e.g. CyberArk, CA, BeyondTrust)
* Experience with programming languages and scripting such as Python, Powershell, Java, C, C++, C#, Ruby and .NET
