Come work for Business Application Services (BAS) and help shape the future of ERP at Microsoft. BAS is accountable for Microsoft's internal ERP solution utilizing SAP. BAS is seeking a Solution Designer to join the team and to lead in the delivery of RMCA capability as MSFT continues toward becoming a Devices and Services company.

Your role as a Software Engineer is a key member of a SAP engineering team that delivers new and/or enhanced capability to our internal business users. This is an Individual Contributor role.

The individual hired for this position will implement SAP system solutions for Revenue Management Contract Accounting(RMCA), or aka. Convergent Invoicing(CI) and FICA. As part of this team, the individual may focus in the following areas: Convergent Invoicing, or RMCA and integration with Financials(FI) and other SAP ECC modules that enable Microsoft's eCommerce exchanges with customers and vendors. This individual will be responsible for supporting a broad spectrum of enterprise business processes, including Online Services, subscription services, revenue reporting, etc. This individual should be a functional expert with strong technical skills, or a technical expert (ABAP, BI, Security, etc.) with strong focus of RMCA/FICA/CI functional areas.

Minimum Requirements:

* 8+ years of hands on SAP Implementation experience on large scale projects for enterprise businesses and 4+ years in industry solution for Utilities (IS-U), Telecommunication (IS-T), Insurance, RMCA/CI or PSCD.
* Strong technical skills with FICA/RMCA/CI and/or direct configuration experience using FICA/RMCA/CI and strong understanding of Finance capabilities and good understanding of SD Order-to-cash capabilities
* Strong understanding of SAP and Microsoft integration technologies
* Strong understanding of software lifecycle methodology and information systems development and support
* Strong cross group collaboration abilities
* Strong problem solving, troubleshooting skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong ability to succeed in ambiguous environment
* Must have ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced, multiple initiatives environment
* Strong interest in and ability to learn new technologies
* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.

Preferred Requirements:

* 10+ years of hands on SAP customization/configuration experience on large scale implementation projects for enterprise businesses.
* In-depth understanding of telecommunications & high-tech business processes
* Experience working with geographically diverse groups
* Experience with SCRUM/agile approaches

Primary Responsibilities:

* Participate in the requirements gathering process, guide discussions by representing what standard functionality exists
* Review and sign-off business requirements in the form of Feature and User Stories
* Design the end-to-end solution, engaging with the various architecture teams, and considering established best practices
* Create functional specifications, including obtaining sign-off from the other team members
* Design, configure and develop the SAP system solutions as per business needs
* Full support of production
* Work with the respective release management and development resources to ensure a complete and robust solution is delivered
* Support Domain Architects in the definition of solution and technology roadmaps
