Position Summary

Insulet, makers of the OmniPod pump for Type 1 Diabetes, is one of the fastest growing medical device companies in the industry and we are expanding our SFDC Development team! Insulet has been a SFDC customer for many years, and as a result, leverages many of the features provided by SFDC. This role is a great opportunity to engage in project delivery across a broad range of elements such as Service cloud, Health cloud, Marketing cloud, IoT cloud, Communities, Einstein analytics, etc. Working in a dynamic, collaborative team environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Insulet's Commercial functions through the implementation of new SFDC solutions, maintenance of existing functions and contributing to our enterprise integration program. The Senior SFDC Developer will focus on projects and processes related to our mobile/web community, call center support, marketing automation, data management, and sales/field rep modules. The ideal candidate will have SFDC administrator and developer certification, along with several years of applied use of these skills. A background working with webservices and/or middleware software is a strong plus as well.

Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain custom solutions on force.com platform using Apex and Visual force
* Develop and support new apps using lightning framework for internal and external users
* Support on-going production Global SFDC instances for business continuity
* Maintain proper documentation for work flow processes, list of values, migration plans, and standard operating procedures in accordance with business requirements.
* Assess the impact of proposed changes and recommend alternative solution choices, determining trade-offs and impact analysis
* Support Insulet's enterprise integration program. Work with integration leads on processes moving data between Salesforce and other third party solutions such as marketing automation or ERP.
* Communicate effectively with IT leaders and/or business users on the status of enhancements, projects and open production support tickets.
* Occasional off-hour support of production applications/processes should issues arise outside of business hours

Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

* 5+ years working as a SFDC developer, preferably in current position or has done so in a recent position.
* Candidate must have working knowledge of custom salesforce development including apex, visualforce, lightning, basic administration, workflows, reporting and general design concepts.
* Strong knowledge of Lighting framework, particularly for developing custom lightning components on our SFDC Community pages
* API integration skills for point to point integrations within SFDC
* Knowledge of any Object-Oriented Programming language (java or .net) is required
* Working knowledge of SOAP and REST webservices is a plus
* Working knowledge of XML or JSON is a plus
* BS in an IT-related discipline such as Computer Science, web development or equivalent experience.
* Preferred experience supporting or working with a Commercial organization in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or any other regulatory controlled industry

Physical Requirements:

* General office environment, may sit for long periods of time.
* Domestic travel may be required less than 5% of the time.
* Infrequent weekend/offhours work will occur for implementation go-live or support when needed.
