Job Description

At Periscope Holdings, the Senior QA Engineer is responsible for developing Java-based test suites for an eProcurement software. The principal responsibilities will be to manage automated test suite development and maintenance, add additional feature support to the test framework, assist team members with test automation, and support the QA organization in its goals. And, learn new technologies!

What you'll do:

* Design, develop and implement automated tests using Java/Selenium with a Cucumber framework
* Design, develop and implement automated REST service tests for a microservices architecture using Karate DSL, SoapUI, and JMeter/Taurus
* Design, develop and implement security tests using OWASP ZAP
* Maintain automated test suites
* Provide guidance and training to team members on automated tests; conduct code reviews and provide feedback
* Provide support for testing of existing legacy products
* Identify and document QA process improvements; educate team members on implementation of the process improvements
* Participate in ongoing product specification and design reviews
* Conduct research on emerging technologies
* Analyze a software system and design a strategy to test the system
* Interpret, understand and validate system requirements for new and existing solutions
* Provide appropriate test metrics around the results of executed tests
* Work to continuously improve test automation concepts and best practices, automation testing strategies, and test case design specifications
* Work collaboratively with engineering team during sprint planning to design what test will need to be written and passed for the sprint to be considered complete
* Work with the engineering team to help them understand test designs

What you'll need:

* 4+ years of experience working in a QA or SW test
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
* Ability to collaborate and work with other team members
