Leads and performs the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of complex computing applications and software or computing architecture and computing application system designs. Leads analysis of end user processes to define application requirements. Writes and compiles complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications. Modifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain functionality and performance. Identifies and recommends improvements. Identifies and resolves complex programming or application architecture problems.

The Business and Supply Chain Systems (BSCS) organization is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Programmer to join their team. This position will be responsible for developing, supporting and maintaining the computing application systems for Supply Chain System, Boeing Capital Corporation, Finance, Human Resources and other Internal Systems of The Boeing Company. This position will be located in Renton, Washington.

BSCS provides the technologies, products and services to support the business needs across the enterprise. We are looking for an individual with excellent technical, people, communication, and leadership skills who will support a combination of legacy and Boeing Second Century solutions. The selected candidate will have substantial SQL server experience and experience interfacing with SQL, Oracle and Teradata data sources. This position will offer the opportunity to work with many technologies including VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), EBasic HTML, IIS/ASP, and COGNOS reporting. There is an expectation that our senior developers not only provide technical leadership and maintain their relevancy through continuous learning, but also champion the enterprise IT strategic direction expanding our implementation of DevOps/DTE, agile and SAFe. The candidate will effectively participate in ongoing knowledge sharing, production support, software development/maintenance, testing and execution. This statement of work will be initially targeting finance, accounting, estimating and forecasting business system which directly supports thousands of Boeing employees and suppliers.

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Required Qualifications:

* The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee


* 3+ years of experience in ASP.net


* 5+ years of experience extracting data from SQL servers


* 1+ years experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)



Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in the use of tools such as Microsoft Access to support data entry, data organization, and generate reports from data to support engineering and business analysis.
* Experience in the basic coding of HTML to support website development and maintenance
* Bachelors degree or higher
