Job Description

Essential Functions:

* This position is located at the Pentagon.
* May require subject matter expertise in the Army Emergency Management Program, or Electronic Warfare, or Plans and Policy, or other specialty areas within policy analysis at the Pentagon.
* Knowledge of systems and acquisitions needs at the national level, DoD, and within Army guidance.
* For EM, policy functions include: development of policies and programs supporting Army EM Program under AR525-27 and DODI 6055.17.; drafting of regulatory directives, and guidance that support the Army EM Program systems. Perform policy-related coordination and liaison with other Services, Army Staff, ACOMs/ASCCs/DRUs, Army Secretariat, Joint and OSD offices.
* May serve on a HQDA Army Steering Group or be otherwise recognized for the subject matter expertise, managing day-to-day and future operations.
* Ensures acquisition program logistics and sustainment transition plans and procedures comply with regulatory standards.
* Provides logistical oversight to applicable modernization and legacy protection programs and conducts program integration and coordination with OSD, Joint Staff, Army Staff, Army Commands, and other Services that manage these programs.
* Manages the equipment Family of Systems and Basis of Allocation for the assigned program(s). Manages a Life Cycle Management Plan between ASA(ALT) and Life Cycle Management Command and HQDA G-3/5/7.
* Prepares life cycle management cost estimates and serves as principle HQDA manager for programming of sustainment funding.

Required Experience:

Candidates should meet the following requirements in order to be considered for this position:

* 8+ of years of related experience
* Active TS/SCI clearance required at the time of hire
* Bachelor degree in related discipline
* Experience working in HQDA, Joint Staff, and/or Combatant Command.
* Experienced in Microsoft Outlook, Sharepoint, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and others
* Able to research, review, edit, and understand Army regulations, publications, doctrine, and multiple other memorandums and correspondence
* Apply integration, communication, coordination, organizational and planning expertise to technical and operational efforts across a broad spectrum of Army strategic plans and policies
* May require coordination with General Officer/senior leadership schedules and agenda items for VTCs and meeting discussions
* Self-starter, able to work autonomously on multiple tasks and manage suspense dates
* May manage electronic record systems like Army Portfolio Management System.
* May require knowledge of EM system requirements.
* Ability to establish performance requirement for new EM systems to integrate protection activities on Army installations and Army activities.
