As a Technical Program Manager, you are naturally curious about technology innovation and how it can be applied to solve real-world problems. You are part of a team of amazing technical program managers who help deliver on a vision to provide the best possible customer experience across Microsoft platforms and services. You empathize deeply with the challenge's developers face and have a drive to build the best technical platforms and experiences for our customers.
You will lead our strategic technology engagement efforts in coordination with global technical delivery teams to accelerate and improve Azure adoption. You will synthesize and communicate the top customer concerns, improve the skills and quality of engagement of our customer facing teams, standardize customer evaluation and validation of new or emerging technologies, and enable customers worldwide to more easily build applications using Microsoft Azure services.
We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications and experience
o 5+ years of program management or other technology related experience
o A deep technical understanding of modern cloud computing technologies (such as Kubernetes, Dockers, Pivotal Cloud) in the core Technical Domain of Application Platform Services
o Success in consultative and/or technical leadership (e.g. architect) and engagement management with sophisticated and complex customers and projects
o Minimum of 3 years of practical hands on experience working in customer-facing technical roles
o BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
o 25% travel

o Work with globally distributed Software Engineers to manage an Azure Technical Domain (Application Platform Services) aligned to strategic technical engagements
o Ensure consistently high-quality proof of concept, architecture design and review, and production systems in a cloud scale, cloud pace environment through globally distributed technical delivery teams
o Develop and manage a global orchestration model, cadence and success indicators for customer engineering engagements using cutting edge Azure services and technologies
