Senior Professional Services Consultant

Want to teach people to fish with a great new technology? We are looking for experienced professional services specialists to design, build, and execute programs that enable partners and customers to deploy our secondary storage solutions applications. The ideal candidate is someone who has considerable experience both implementing technical solutions as well as enabling others to do so through training and documentation.

These practices will not only focus on the Day 0 experience of installing the solution, but also integrating it with the applications and operations. In addition to building these solutions, this role will also spend considerable time validating these procedures in the field and teaching partners and customers how to apply these in their environment.

Responsibilities:

* You will be working with engineering, systems engineers, tech marketing specialists, and customer support build to build out professional services practices (installation, integration, applications, migration, scripting) to be used by partners and customers
* Deliver professional services to Cohesity customers
* Write and validate the implementation/integration best practices
* Create knowledge-base articles for design and deployment tips
* Develop pre-installation survey and planning documents to prepare for install
* Develop workflows to verify implementations are done correctly
* Develop sample post deployment documentation (run books, pre-deployment templates, etc)
* Convert best practices into a training curriculum
* Deliver hands-on training in small-group formats
* Conduct ride-alongs to observe/validate actual field performance of trainees
* Assist in the creation of certification exam questions
* Assist in training the field during new product introductions
* Conduct webinars to conduct introductory and on-going training
* Conduct beta testing of procedures for new offerings in the field
* Provide feedback to engineering on ways to improve the implementation experience
* Act as onsite manager for key / high-profile implementations

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Minimum 4 years experience in IT
* Experience in these technical areas required
* Linux, Backup and Virtualization (VMware, HyperV, Citrix Xen App/Desktop)
* Oracle, SQL, Data Migration
* Additional experience highly desirable:
* Storage
* Disaster Recovery/Business Continuance
* Database Protection and Recovery
* Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* Layer 2 Networking and Firewalls
* Scripting / Automation
* Visio or equivalent application
* Excellent communication and project-related skills are also required
* Strong verbal communication/presentation skills
* Strong written skills and the ability to create documentation
* The ability to teach others and make them successful
* Self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills
* The ability to manage projects and to drive to a deadline
* PLUS: Active Security Clearance
