Job Description

Work schedule: Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm PST. Location: San Francisco, CA

Purpose

A Senior Production Technician will be an expert in either SQL scripting and application development or have an expert knowledge of Relativity. The Senior Production Technician is both a team leader and expert in production processes and procedures. They process electronic data and convert native files using industry specific processing applications such as Ipro eCapture and Relativity in accordance with company and industry standards as well as client specific requests. Senior Production Technicians are responsible for processing and converting files to image formats such as TIF, JPG or PDF, and exporting documents and metadata for client review and production. They are responsible for ensuring the quality of the processed data and final output as well as for making sure that production resources are utilized effectively and that turnaround requests and deadlines are either met or exceeded. The Senior Production Technician would also recommend and manage process improvement projects that may be internal or span multiple groups or locations.

What You'll Do:

* Provide leadership and direct support to eDiscovery production projects, serving as primary point of contact for Technical Project Managers
* Process documents and data in adherence to company standards and client specific technical specifications
* Create and prepare load files and deliverables for review in Concordance, Summation and Relativity databases
* Format data for importing into legal review software, using internal tools and SQL to manipulate and export data to conform to client request
* Assist with developing custom solutions and workflows for handling new or unusual data types and special technical requests
* Maintain a sense of urgency on all production deliverables and internal requests
* Independently work on job requests from a queue as well as by assignment to ensure that jobs progress with minimal delay
* Effectively communicate with Shift Supervisor/Manager and other departments of job status, potential issues and provide detailed hand off instructions during shift/job turnover
* Perform thorough quality checks on client data and work product at multiple stages of processing to eliminate rework and ensure 100% compliance of data and deliverable to client specification
* Make recommendations for improved workflow, quality, internal documentation and processes to maximize system resources and efficiencies as applicable
* Assist with training junior team members on department processes and applications, and assist with troubleshooting requests and fixes to deliverables
* Participate in productions by assessing scope, technical requirements, and timelines and making recommendations for project platform and workflows
* Recommend and lead process improvement projects that may be internal or span multiple groups or locations
* Gather and monitor performance data for processes to present to management and to identify areas of improvements
* Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

* Able to work the day shift from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm PST)
* Able to work onsite at our San Francisco office
* Associate or Bachelor's degree or certifications preferred
* 2+ years of eDiscovery or equivalent experience
* Ability to work independently with minimal direction, minimal administrative support, and an ability to work well with others
* Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ownership
* Knowledge of SQL syntax and scripting or an expert in Relativity
* Knowledge of iPro eCapture and other litigation support applications such as Nuix, LAW and Relativity
* Knowledge of scripting or other coding languages such as PowerShell, C#, or JAVA is a plus
* Open to working assigned shift within departmental hours of operation (current hours are 7:30 am - 11:00 pm, seven days a week)
* Ability to work flexible hours as needed
* Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing requirements and priorities
* Ability to use critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to effectively identify solutions to non-standard requests and issue resolution
* Ability to convey complex ideas both verbally and in writing to a non-technical audience
* Ability to manage projects that span multiple groups, offices, or organizations
* Superior focus on quality control and accuracy of work-product
* Demonstrated record of excellent customer service
* Strong Microsoft Office skills
* Ability to travel as required for on-site project work
