What you'll be doing…

Last year Tableau launched a major new platform capability called Dashboard Extensions which enable software developers to turn dashboards into full-fledged applications. While there are many customers who build and deploy extensions internally, the Tableau partner ecosystem primarily distributes extensions through the Tableau Extension Gallery (https://extensiongallery.tableau.com).

In this role you will own the strategy and evolution of the gallery. This includes owning the backlog of features & functionality (this includes everything from how content gets into the gallery to how it gets consumed by customers), determining if the gallery should facilitate commerce, and looking for new product types beyond extensions that customers will want to find and procure.

Your work will span the entire development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, feature prioritization and definition, project management and oversight of execution, and evangelism of the features once complete. This will require communication cross-departmentally: working with various teams in the Product organization to deliver new product types, with the Legal team to craft the necessary agreements for the gallery, with the Sales and Support organizations to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met and with Marketing to define the go-to-market messages and strategy by helping them to understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. You will also work closely with the Tableau partner ecosystem to ensure that the gallery enables them to successfully deliver their offerings to customers.

Some of the thing you'll be doing include…

* Product management of the Tableau Extensions Gallery.
* Participate actively in product planning and roadmap definition.
* Drive product/feature project definition and ensure cross-functional coordination (developers, testers, designers, management) toward successful delivery of the engineering projects.
* Drive evangelization of your product/features to external partner and customer-facing programs and events.
* Oversee that all projects execute smoothly and effectively, recommend process improvements to increase engineering team efficiency and velocity.
* Present Tableau product capabilities, vision, value propositions, and roadmap briefings to partners, customers, prospects, the Tableau sales team and at other public events.
