Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

Oracle's Adaptive Intelligence Applications team is looking for exceptional talent to develop our next generation of Applications running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Detailed Description:

The Adaptive Intelligence Applications team is developing Oracle's next generation of applications, driving functionality from Big Data sources, using machine learning to extract value and meaning from the data.

As part of that we need a developer who can build end to end systems from both the front end UX and back end java code.

Job Requirements:

We are seeking brilliant individuals with strong engineering background and proven track of records to take feature/design through the entire software lifecycle to release of robust, high quality, production code.

The Role will entail interactions with both US/UK/CZ developers and Product managers so excellent Communication skills, both written and interpersonal, are crucial for the role.

Ideal candidates should match or exceed the following criteria.

* BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
* 10 years of software engineering or related experience.
* Relational or NoSQL database experience
* 3 Years Experience with Java or 1 year with Scala.
* 3 Years Experience with JavaScript, HTML 5 UI development.
* Experience with common Javascript libraries such as JQuery and knockout.js
* Agile development experience
* Python, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Big Data and REST service experience is a plus
* Experience with Solr a plus
