Our storage environment is one of the largest and most challenging you'll find anywhere. We manage many petabytes of data spread across infrastructure in US, Europe and Asia. Our diverse infrastructure includes SAN, NAS, Scale-out NAS and Public Cloud. In the role of SENIOR PRINCIAL IINFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER you will be a bright, hands-on technical lead working with our science teams, understanding the storage demands being driven by new lab technologies, and developing effective solutions. In this complex environment, you will need broad technical experience in areas beyond storage, including networking, Public Cloud, Private Cloud, HPC and Security.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Lead the organization in building an effective Storage infrastructure
* Become fluent in the evolving requirements from the NIBR research environments and develop effective technical solutions to address them.
* Develop technical designs to documents and communicate the solutions
* Lead the Engineering teams in the implementation of technical solutions
* Provide thought leadership on the industry trends and evolving technologies related to the NIBR technical environment
* Act as technical liaison and collaborator with other Novartis organizations and with external collaborators.
* Manage technical evaluations and make technology recommendations
* Work closely with scientist, architecture, and project management teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a collegiate environment; Help develop project schedules and budgets
* Mentor and assist storage engineers develop technical solutions
