Help solve some of our U.S. Government sponsor's most difficult and urgent cyber related problems. Work with MITRE's cybersecurity leadership in a fast-paced environment to develop cyber strategies and develop new business models. Manage high visibility efforts aimed at identifying and experimenting with next generation cyber capabilities and developing new architecture-independent tools and techniques. Participate in technical analyses and assessments, define risk mitigation strategies, develop proof-of-concept prototypes, and perform vulnerability analysis.

* Proof-of-concept prototyping
* Testing and evaluation
* Research and development of unique, cutting edge technical capabilities for understanding, assessing and analyzing cyber technologies
* Analysis of network systems
* Network protocol analysis
* Vulnerability discovery
* Multi-architecture reverse-engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's Degree in one of the following disciplines, Computer Science; Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering
* 15+ years of related experience including 5 years of leadership experience. Demonstrates consultative approach and an ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of seniority and technical experience.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate and guide teams toward the proper balance of product depth, timeliness, and technical improvements programmatic constraints, even when hard compromises are required. Recognized by peers and managers as a thought leader.

We are interested in highly motivated candidates with the following skills and interests including:

* Global enterprise security operations
* Computer networking & security
* Complex system characterization
* Vulnerability discovery, analysis, and management
* Security operations center (SOC) design and management
* Malicious software analysis
* Privacy
* Forensic analysis (incl. digital media)
* Binary analysis, reverse engineering and debugging tools (e.g., IDA Pro, WinDbg, Emulators)
* Assembly languages (x86, ARM, MIPS, PowerPC, etc.)
* Design/implementation of physical security protocols and programs
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar field, and 15 years of related experience. Candidate must be willing to operate effectively at high levels within MITRE customers and potential customers organizations, recognizing and following through on opportunities in new areas and/or with new MITRE customers.
