The Role We are looking for a Senior Oracle Database Developer to architect database schema design for Enterprise applications to aggregate and report on IT Asset Management. The role will include the need for person to be part of the technical support of the strategic applications. The person will be part of the TSG IT Asset Management team that is currently building a golden source for all the bank's assets. The candidate will be a lead contributor of a globally diverse team and will be directly involved in the design, development and build out of the strategic programs.

Key Responsibilities • Role will require individual to design and build out new oracle database schema based on customer's requirements • Analyzes application data requirements and develops conceptual and logical models of the data as a prerequisite for physical database design. • Creates and maintains meta data in data model dictionaries. • Translates data requirements into entity relationship diagrams, and analyzing existing databases through reverse engineering. • Assists in providing data element naming consistent with standards and conventions and ensures that data dictionaries are maintained across multiple database environments (mainframe, distributed systems). • Ensures data content/quality by planning and conducting data warehouse system tests, monitoring test results and taking required corrective action. • Assists in analyzing and designing data models, logical databases and relational database definitions using both forward and backward engineering techniques. • Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

Sr. Principal Architect, Data Management->> Researches and implements corporate data management strategy to improve the company's advantage in the market place. Works with the enterprise business architects, application architects, database architects and technology architects for deploying technology solutions. Strategizes and contributes to enterprise level technological initiatives on data governance, management and usage. Ensures high quality delivery of the company's data architecture and data administrative solutions and services. Defines data architecture for corporate data governance and database design principles. Leads research, definition and implementation of corporate data architecture governance and database design disciplines for business data solutions. Defines and promotes common data architecture designs methodology, standards and practices across the enterprise. Strives to drive more value out of the company's data asset. Provides enterprise data architecture planning, design and deployment in business solutions. Directs time to market and productive data solutions, in compliance with corporate policy.Provides data architecture consulting services on more complex issues throughout the enterprise.Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
* Twelve or more (12+) years of experience in data management services is required.
* Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

Required: • DB development experience across Oracle and SQL Server space • Excellent understanding of relational database modeling • Strong hands-on experience in in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development in 11g and 12c environments • Analyze user requirements and translate into database requirements and implement in database code. • Knowledge in writing packages/procedures • Experience in leading a development team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications. • Create and maintain SQL queries and routines, work with complex data models and object relational database mapping, while producing complex reports. • Need to be able to optimize, tune and troubleshoot SQL code • Excellent understanding of Server performance troubleshooting

Preferred: • Hands-on experience for PL/SQL batches, stored procedures, and database triggers creation and maintenance. • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. • Experience with agile software development approaches including Scrum, Jira • UNIX shell scripting experience • Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills
