Position Overview:

The Senior Network Engineer will design, implement, maintain, support, and administer computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations across the AIT enterprise. The role includes designing new network solutions, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and improving the efficiency of existing systems as necessary.

What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day:

* Design and deploy Data Center Networks utilizing industry best practices.
* Develop and perform migration from existing datacenter to new datacenter.
* Create Low Level Design, High Level Design, Implementation Plan, and Acceptance Test Plan documents.
* Executing projects within expected time frames; the ability to work independently
* Configuring and managing firewalls & Windows servers
* Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN and application issues

Other Skills We Hope to See:

* Computer Science degree or equivalent job experience related to network design and administration
* Minimum 5 years experience working directly with SMTP, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
* Minimum 3 years experience managing Cisco IOS switches - A Cisco CCNP highly desired
* Experience with enterprise networking technologies, tools & processes, including routing & switching, L4-7 traffic management (e.g. load balancing), firewalls, datacenter fabric, campus networks, as well as networking protocols such as TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, etc.
* Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols (DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS, WINS, NTP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, LDAP, and Microsoft AD).
* Familiarity with the latest technology trends in the network domain including SDN, NFV and open networking.
* On-call rotation with occasional travel (may be required)
