Description

As SAIC's Senior Network Engineer, your job responsibilities will include supporting the customer's Networking and Communications Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team to provide consulting services, subject matter expertise (SME), engineering services, mentorship, on-the-job training, and operational support towards designing, deploying, and operating business critical enterprise and data center network environments across a global Wide Area Network (WAN). You will serve as the highest internal escalation tier for the Networking O&M team providing advanced troubleshooting support and guidance to rapidly assess and remediate challenges that arise in the networking arena. You will be responsible for all networking-related technologies (systems, applications, and services) using Cisco, Juniper, and Riverbed based technologies. Travel is required - 5 % - to support critical business needs.

Qualifications

* An active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (TS/SCI);
* The ability to complete a counter-intelligence scope polygraph (CSP);
* A college degree in an appropriately computer-related field from an accredited university or one of the following certifications:
* The CompTIA Security+CE certification,
* The Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC); or
* The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc. (ISC2) Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP); and
* The Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Routing and Switching or Data Center certification;
* Ten or more years of experience working with enterprise-level Cisco hardware, operating systems (IOS, NX-OS, ACI, etc.) and technologies (voice, video, routing, switching, security, etc.) across a WAN;
* Five or more years of experience working with enterprise-level Cisco-based routing and switching technologies (BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, OSPF, STP, VRF) and with secure encrypted networking devices (e.g., TACLANE or BorderGuard) and communication circuits, protocols, and configurations;
* Five or more years of experience designing, engineering, implementing, and maintaining networking solutions in secure processing environments which must adhere to U.S. Government Information Assurance and Security standards such as the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs);

Desired Qualifications

* An active Top Secret clearance with access to SCI;
* Having completed a counter-intelligence scope polygraph (CSP) within the last five (5) years;
* A bachelors or higher degree in an appropriately computer-related field from an accredited university or one of the following certifications:
* The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification,
* The CompTia Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) plus continuing education (CASP+CE) certification;
* The following certifications (or significant progress towards achieving these certifications are strongly desired:
* The Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Routing and Switching certification;
* The CCIE Data Center certification;
* The Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) certification;
* The CCNP Collaboration certification;
* The CCNP Security certification;
