Our engineering team is looking for a superstar MySQL Database Administrator who will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health of TMBC's database systems.

We are headquartered in Beverly Hills, CA and the MySQL Database Administrator role must work onsite due to the highly collaborative and iterative nature of the work.

* MySQL (5.7.18 or above)
* MySQL Version Upgrading and related Linux Security Patches
* Optimize/apply the Best practices for MySQL
* Database backup and restore (i.e. mysqldump or xtrabackup)
* Percona toolkit
* Creating/Updating/Optimizing/Testing complex SQL queries and Stored Procedures/Functions.
* MySQL Replication
* Database High Availability and Disaster Recover concepts
* Scripting languages such as Bash or Python
* Storage Engines such as InnoDB
* AWS S3
* Data Encryption, Data obfuscation, Data security
* Automated deployment and management on AWS EC2 instances
* RHEL (Centos 6/7 or Amazon Linux)
* Git / BitBucket
* Agile principles and practices
* ERD and Data modeling for scale
* OLAP and OLTP
* Data reliability and resiliency
* Building a data pipeline and capable to expand to a big data architecture
* Applying strong analytic skills
* ETL tools (Pentaho plus)

Is it YOU we are looking for?

* BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or related, preferred. Strong experience may substitute in lieu of formal education
* MySQL administration/management experience: 3+ years full-time
* Mastery with SQL development (query creation, stored procedures, user-defined functions)
* Significant experience with database replication configuration, optimization, and maintenance
* Experience with shell scripting
* Experience with Data modeling
* Experience with Database security
* Experience with Database backup, disaster recovery processes and procedures
