Senior Manager, Software Engineering- Cart/Checkout Foot Locker

Job Description

Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, experienced Sr Engineering Manager-Cart and Checkout in our core services team to lead and grow our applications platform team. We're building new systems and components and constantly improving our existing systems. You will be responsible for building and leading a team of talented engineers to ensure foot locker's core API commerce services can support the increasing needs of both the company's online and mobile customers.

* Lead back-end development efforts in building a robust ecommerce platform.
* Manage the teams that build application services and help satisfy the product teams requirements.
* Work in an Agile/Scrum and create a test driven development environment.
* Work across other technical teams to outline future system needs and requirements, handle incident response and communication, and ensure we meet business and engineering goals.
* Help propel us into a microservices architecture by architecting our application as a set of collaborative services.
* At least 5 years of software development experience preferably in horizontally scalable API's.
* Experience developing and maintaining critical real-time serving systems in an environment where priorities are frequently shifting.
* Background in leading and growing people both technically and professionally.
* Great product sense combined with strong technical communication skills.
* Worked in the high scale environment supporting cart and checkout flows of a major ecommerce establishment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or closely related field and 10 years of related work experience.
* Masters in computer science a plus
