The Senior Manager is the Data Warehouse technical owner, leading development and support of Business Intelligence needs of the Holland America Group. They will provide leadership in establishing the architectural direction and standards for the development of data warehouses, data marts and data stores. They will recommend and guide the best use of Business Intelligence, reporting, ETL and database technologies to achieve the most efficient, scalable and responsive solutions to address Enterprise Reporting needs.

Responsibilities:

* Develop long and short range plans, including Application Development Plans and Resource Development Plans, to achieve corporate systems development objectives in a timely and cost effective manner.
* Evaluate and establish required development and support resources for Data warehouse enhancements and operation.
* Ensure cross brand alignment on Data Warehouse enhancements and releases (governance).
* Ensure supervision and monitoring of all Data Warehouse system activity.
* Establish and maintain systems development standards, procedures, and methodologies consistent with corporate and departmental objectives and policies. Includes SDM, IS Department Policies and SOX requirements. Ensure adherence to policies.
* Lead architecture design and selection of IT solutions in support of the Data Warehouse. Supervise and drive IT development and data provisioning, guiding Infrastructure and other supporting teams towards delivery, plan compliance and cross-brand alignment.
* Direct the staffing, training functions in systems development department to meet short and long range corporate objectives.
* Supervise team leaders to ensure efficient and proper assignment, scheduling and review of work in support of assigned systems.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and five or more years on the job experience using relevant technology and software
* Ability to work with both IT and Business Executives to identify and document an Enterprise Reporting vision at both the strategic and tactical levels
* Ability to provide leadership, clear direction, and mentoring to Architecture Team MembersAbility to delegate effectively
* Ability to manage project scope and expectations effectively
* Knowledge of the Travel/Hospitality industry
* Strong knowledge of data warehousing disciplines such as data access, ETL, data management, data modeling, metadata, performance management, data quality, schema development, data marts, data dictionary and business intelligence (BI) tools
* Strong knowledge of Oracle Database Technologies (v. 10g, 11i)
* Excellent meeting facilitation, organizational and communication skills
* Ability to interact well with all levels with the organization
* Excellent problem solving/analytical skills with a high level of accuracy
* Ability to work flexible hours as needed to complete projects
