Here in EA's Data Science group within Global Analytics and Insights, we're always looking for new members to help expand our horizons, to move our communal thought process. This is a team that's as likely to collaborate with game designers and producers as they are data engineers, so versatility, persistence, entrepreneurship, and passion are keys to becoming a successful contributor. We exist in a world where tasks and measures aren't easily defined by

product managers or scrums and where a project's cadence can have defined deadlines or be as vague as knowing a game's possible launch date years in the future, so our data scientists and machine learning engineers must have strong organizational skills.

The Challenge:

Over the history of our team we have had significant impact on EA's games by our forecasting, modeling and analysis. As we move into the future we are taking a more direct role in impacting our games by developing complex and advanced personalization and recommendation systems. To support our further efforts our team is looking to hire our first Machine Learning Engineer.

Who we are looking for?

You are someone who is above all persistent, adaptable with a growth mindset (eager to learn on the job). You have an engineering mindset always trying to strike a balance among performance, flexibility, and stability in systems. You enjoy collaboration, open to ideas and generous in sharing knowledge with others. We have a strong team of Data Scientists building models and you will be able to work with them to build and help handle deployment systems for our models. You will own and help define the architecture and drive the technical implementation for our model deployment system which will need to be flexible, maintainable, adaptable and scalable. You will be using the latest cloud technologies to drive the system and

this project is greenfield, there is no legacy implementation to maintain.

Desired Experience:

● Deploying ML/AI models

● Building Cloud architectures

● Modern Deployment options

● ML/AI frameworks

● Working with model developers to improve efficiency, making modeling tradeoffs

Specific Qualifications:

● Solid software development skills with proficiency in at least Python and C/C++

● Proficiency in building data pipelines with tools such as Airflow

● Proficiency with distributed data query/computing engine such as Hive, Presto and Spark

● Deep Familiarity with Scikit-learn and Tensorflow

● Deep familiarity in AWS or GCP using tools such as EMR, S3, EC2, Deep Learning

AMI's, SageMaker

● Deep understanding of cloud computing techniques or tools such as S3, EC2, EMR,

SageMaker, ECS, Docker, Gitlab CI, Python packaging, command-line executions and

shell scripting

● Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases

● Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance

● Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner
