SUMMARY

The Senior JavaScript Developer will be involved in the technical aspects of designing, implementing, testing E*TRADE Financial Trading, Investing and Banking Web Products. This is individual contributor role with significant engineering ownership in complex client side applications, including new feature work, improvements on existing code, and active participation in designing and shipping the product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Development and integration of new applications and enhancements including technology initiatives to optimize our existing software.
* Develop optimized/cross-platform cross browser front-end code in CSS/HTML5, and JavaScript, release code with unit testing and troubleshoot related issues.
* Build/Code static and dynamic prototypes from mockups and business specifications.
* Candidate should have a passion for technology and a flexible, creative approach to problem solving, take ownership of business requirements and devise and develop solutions that meet customer needs using latest web technologies

Basic

* 4-7 years of software development experience
* Experience in software development domain and principles, including design patterns, code structure, programming languages, continuous integration, and deployment architecture
* Experience in Rich Internet Application design and implementation
* Knowledge and experience of browser-side client technologies including AJAX, HTML5,CSS3, and object-oriented JavaScript
* Experience in JavaScript frameworks such as BackboneJS, EmberJS, AngularJS, React and mobx

Preferred

* Command in Cross browser debugging and unit, integration and performance testing of web applications
* Knowledge of JavaScript and browser optimizations
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Experience of working with open source technologies and engaging with the community
* Familiar with SCRUM or similar agile methodology
