Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with Service Oriented Architecture implementation experience to join our project team in building and implementing enterprise grade software systems.

Responsibilities/Duties:

* Analyze, design, develop and implement J2EE-based Internet, multi-tier Client/Server, and Intranet applications
* Translate use case requirements, technical specifications and design into code for new or enhancement projects for internal and external clients
* Design and implement a high performance service model based on legacy and new requirements
* Utilize Java frameworks and standards
* Prototype functionality for internal and client review
* Implement solutions using Oracle technologies such as WebLogic, Oracle RDBMS 11g, and ADF
* Follow software development methodology and architecture standards
* Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues/defects; participate in other meetings, such as those for use case creation
* Formally document issues/defects and support issue/defect resolution until closure
* Develop estimates for design and implementation level of effort
* Conduct manual and automated unit testing

Required Qualifications

Required Skills:

* At least 8 years of experience with Java/J2EE technologies (Java/J2EE technologies (EJB, Jscript, Apache Axis/Spring/Struts/Tapestry/Tomahawk/Velocity, NodeJS, JSP, JSF, JQuery, Angular, Hibernate, JAXB, JAXP, JSON, and JDOM)
* At least 3 years of experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies (WebLogic, JRockit, JDeveloper, ADF, OIM)
* At least 3 years of experience with Oracle SOA Suite (OSB, ESB)
* Strong knowledge of XML and SQL
* Familiarity with Configuration Management methodologies and tools, including SVN
* Experience with runtime containers including WebLogic, Oracle HTTP Server, and Tomcat

Education/Certification Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline

Clearance Requirements:

* U.S. Citizen or permanent resident and meet 3-year US residency requirement with the ability to attain a Public Trust clearance

Location: Rockville, MD

Desired Qualifications

Desired Skills:

* Experience with Section 508 compliance
* Agile training or certifications, such as Certified Scrum Master
* .NET / C# development experience is desired but not required
* Knowledge of EMC Documentum is a plus
