Job Description

The Senior IT Project Manager will lead the delivery of large-scale initiatives and Point of Sale (POS) releases within the growing Retail Systems portfolio. We are looking for a driven, forward thinking leader to be influential across various internal IT business stakeholders and external delivery partners. This individual will establish, build and maintain project plans that baseline activities and timelines, proactively manage deviations, identify and manage program risks, ensure the project team is properly defined and staffed, and the appropriate internal and external teams are engaged to meet overall project objectives.Responsibilities:

* Lead and deliver Point of Sale (POS) releases for large scale implementations and initiatives
* Assess impact of overall release management strategies by understanding project stakeholder goals and expectations
* Plan the overall solution release and delivery approach based on project business and technical objectives
* Create project work plans that clearly capture key project milestones and dependencies
* Manage project teams comprised of team members and contractors
* Define team member roles and expectations to support overall project delivery
* Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
* Manage relationships with all relevant suppliers and subcontractors
* Build and maintain relationships with IT teams in other programs
* Identify key dependencies between different programs that could impact project delivery timelines
* Assess project delivery risks, issues and impact on solution delivery commitments and objectives
* Assess options to address risks and issues to improve project delivery performance
* Lead and manage the creation of project delivery schedules based on planned Retail Systems release cycles
* Work on complex projects with multi-tier architecture in a global and regional environment
* Link cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems
* Manage partnerships with vendors and leverage appropriate systems delivery lifecycle models for work efforts
* Create project contingency and mitigation plans to identify, raise and mitigate delivery risks and issues
* Provide weekly delivery status reports and participate in broader leadership status meetings
* Exhibit the flexibility necessary to effectively manage change and thrive in an evolving organization

Qualifications:

* 7+ years of experience leading enterprise-level Retail applications implementations
* 5+ years of experience in leading, planning and executing Point of Sale (POS) releases, adhering to SLDC deliverables and leveraging a matrixed team within a large, complex and critical portfolio
* Demonstrated strength to build and maintain strong business and IT relationships across teams, including the ability to hold teams accountable and influence critical business outcomes across a complex organization
* Must possess professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT effectively across a diverse audience ranging from technical teams to senior business and technical leadership
* Experience operating within a large program and managing multiple priorities in a fast paced and date driven environment
* Strong knowledge of system and software delivery best practices and methodologies
* Experience in working with retail engineering teams as well as retail support principles and practices
* Experience with Point of Sale (POS) software, hardware and peripherals highly preferred
* Experience delivering enterprise-minded, holistic solutions within the store systems space
* Must possess great problem solving and analytical skills
