Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented ISSO in Washington, DC area, with strong Customer relationships. At ManTech, you will help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.The FSS Division provides cyber solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. This division consists of a team of technical leaders that deliver advanced technical solutions to government organizations. Our customers have high standards, are technically adept, and use our products daily to support their mission of protecting national security. Our contributions to our customers success is driving our growth.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Defines, creates, and maintains the documentation for assessment and authorization of information systems in accordance with government requirements. Assess the impacts of system modifications and technological advances on security profiles. Additionally, the ISSO will review systems in order to identify potential security weaknesses, recommend improvements to redress vulnerabilities, validate the success of changes implemented to reduce risk, and document system modifications. Researches, develops, implements, tests and reviews an organization's information security safeguards in order to ensure the security and privacy of information is reasonably and effectively protected. Position Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information assurance, engineering or related field. Eight years of progressively responsible IT Security assessment and authorization related responsibilities.Eight years of experience directly performing Assessments and Authorizations, knowledge of specific NIST guidelines including FIPS-199 and Special Publications 800-53, 800-18, 800-30, 800-37, 800-60. The candidate will demonstrate experience analyzing IT security controls and developing solutions to security problems to meet federal security standards.Eight years experience evaluating and implementing security controls, particularly in conformance with NIST standards and guidelines. Documented experience with practices and challenges in cloud and highly virtualized computing environments and knowledge of software assurance principals. Candidate will have one (or more) of the following industry-recognized security certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certification Information System Auditor (CISA) or Certification and Authorization Professional (CAP).
