Job Description

Overview

The Sr. IP Network Engineer will be an integral member of a close-knit network solutions engineering team. This role will be responsible for working closely with and collaborating daily with team members, as well as interacting directly with customers as the SME, in order to determine customer needs, design and implement network solutions, and oversee the operations of these networks once implemented.

Responsibilities

* Perform operations, management, support and troubleshooting for network environment including: routers, switches, ASA firewalls, network management servers, network security, high availability connectivity and network architectures.
* Support and manage ASA (5525, 5516) firewalls.
* Manage and update network infrastructure.
* Design, setup, and implement remote VPN solutions, site-to-site VPNs, and Anyconnect
* Design, implement, operate, and maintain IP networking infrastructure including: Cisco Layer 2/3 switches and routers.
* Troubleshoot SIP/VoIP issues.
* Create and maintain accurate detailed drawings and procedural documentation.
* Travel up to 25% (domestic) and up to 15% (international).

Qualifications

* US Citizenship and a current security clearance is essential.
* Must be able to maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
* 10+ years experience in IP/IT Network Operations/Engineering environment.
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
* CCNA Routing and Switching.
* Proven firewall experience.
* Strong working knowledge with Network Performance and Traffic Analysis tools - Solarwinds, Cacti, and PRTG.
* Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Valued but not required skills and experience:

* CCNP Routing and Switching
* Cisco Security certification
* Familiarity with wireless technologies
* VMWare / ESXi experience
