Job Description

The person would be working as part of a highly technical team providing expertise and administration services in multiple data management (ETL/ELT/Data Virtualization/Data Quality/MDM/Metadata Mgmt.) and analytics (BI/Stats/ML) technology platforms. With cross training and cross-functioning the position offers great growth opportunities.

In this tole, we are looking for a self-driven technical leader with great technical and communications skills. The person needs to continuously learn on the job and support multiple technology platforms. Establishes and executes plans for achieving Informatica 'best practices' in the environment and 'best in class' status in the industry. Provides technical leadership in advancing the right adoption across teams using Informatica.

Management and administration of all components comprising the PowerCenter domains, IDQ, Data Analyst, Data Transformation, Metadata Manager and other services. Drives policies, procedures and solution patterns on Informatica usage. Plans, configures, supports, and maintains the desired Power Center configuration. Develops and initiates strategies and plans to insure Informatica software currency enterprise-wide. Initiates plans and manages actions necessary to achieve and maintain optimum Informatica platform performance, reliability and availability in serving the ETL needs of BSC application developers, architects, and operations personnel. Manages the domain security configuration, licensing and the physical installs/location of the services and nodes that compose the domain. Establishes insightful monitoring of the platform using Linux, Splunk or marketplace tools like HIPPO.

Collaborates closely with the architecture and design team and other project personnel during the architecture, design, build and deploy phases of a project. Provides critical design feedback and recommendations on solutions. Maintains the organization and security of the objects contained in the repository. These tasks entail developing and maintaining the folder and schema structures, managing users, groups, and roles, global/local repository relationships and backup and recovery. During the development effort, is responsible for coordinating migrations, maintaining database connections, establishing and promoting naming conventions and development standards, and developing back-up and restore procedures for the repositories. Diagnoses performance bottlenecks when needed and makes recommendations.

Job Requirements

Strong government affairs background. Minimum 7 years direct experience

Ability to interpret, analyze and communicate legislative issues and government regulations.

Strong writing skills and attention to detail, with an emphasis on the ability to be persuasive, clear and concise.

Strong interpersonal and networking skills.

Strong research and analytical background and skills.

Preferred Attributes:

Seven years' experience with the state legislative process as either a lobbyist or senior member of legislative or administrative staff.

Strong computer and internet skills.

Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to health care.

Good relationships with elected officials and staff as well as key health care stakeholder groups.

Education/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree, preferable

Generally requires thorough experience in legislative/external affairs or related business field
