Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the Team:

As a senior member of the marketing web platform development team, you will be utilizing all your technical expertise across the stack, including cloud-based resilient services and APIs, front-end and automated testing know-how, to build and refine our static website generating offering and its CI/CD platform.

You will help drive forward the architecture and implementation of the applications' features, of shared web components and you will be instrumental in motivating and mentoring team members to help them grow and contribute. You're an outstanding communicator and collaborator, and are comfortable working to derive concrete solutions from often-ambiguous requirements. You are passionate about quality execution, and always strive to improve tools and processes to drive quality.

This role is an opportunity to re-engineer existing solutions that have enabled internal customers to be very successful and extend their offerings. The results of that work will influence the experience of millions of Capital One customers.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
* At least 5 years of software engineering experience
* At least 3 years of experience using JavaScript
* At least 3 years of experience with Agile delivery practices

Preferred Qualifications:

* Expertise in front-end structural and styling technologies, such as HTML and CSS
* Application architecture experience with scalable, cloud based systems building API's and fault tolerant architectures
* 2 years' experience using the framework Angular
* Experience delivering software in the public cloud with AWS
* Experience building software in a continuous integration/delivery (CICD) environment
* Familiarity with building automated test frameworks
* Experience leading development teams and/or mentoring junior team members
