Senior Firmware Engineer Job Description

We are looking for senior firmware engineers with 5 - 10 years of working experience who are excited to be part of one of Intel's fast growing teams. As a firmware engineer in Programmable Solutions Group, you will develop and validate firmware that configures and controls the FPGA devices which will enables cutting-edge solutions to the customers.

In this role your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

* Develop firmware specification, test plan based on hardware specifications
* Develop low level source code development, review and maintenance for production firmware and test firmware
* Develop unit test, pre-silicon & post-silicon test on multiple platforms, including behavioral simulation, RTL-simulation, emulation, as well as on the silicon
* Support validation and integration efforts through debug and technical support
* Support tape-out and power-on activities



Qualifications

Qualifications

* Candidate should possess a Bachelor/Master/PhD of Engineering/Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science
* Experience in micro-controller, embedded system & board design
* Proficiency in C programming skills, as well as scripting languages such as Python, Perl & Tcl in Linux environment
* Experience with waveform analysis and debug
* Familiar with software life cycles & processes
* Knowledge in VHDL/Verilog is a plus
