Description:Work location Osan AB, Korea. Provides system/network advice and augmentation to military technicians. Trouble shoots hardware technical problems/anomalies and determines technical solutions in accordance with OEM products and customer specifications and recommends actions for problem resolution. Provides hardware and system support on OEM specific equipment, to include: the Ground Control Processor (GCP); Common ELINT TPED System (CETS); Multi-source Correlation System (MSCS); Rapid Information Manager (RIM) system. Coordinates with site personnel and the OEM contractor(s) in the support of sub-system hardware during all real-time operations, operational testing, and during both pre-mission and post-mission activities. During real-time operations, responsible for constantly monitoring system health and actively intervening to resolve any detected problems. Responsible for the monitoring of specific hardware sub-systems to achieve optimum level of performance as well as detecting, isolating, and resolving system/sensor problems in order to maximize system availability. Assists local security personnel in conducting routine hardware audits for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines. Assists software, analysts, and military personnel in problem identification and resolution. Determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to site personnel and the OEM contractor(s) in the maintenance and configuration control of operational systems baselines. May also perform as an advisor or trainer for military operators and maintainers. Develops procedures to operate and support the system by military personnel when technical data on the specialized equipment listed above is unavailable or inadequate.
* DoD TS-SCI Security Clearance,
* DOD 8570 Information Assurance Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within first 90 days of employment.
* Operation and Maintenance experience.
Working knowledge of AF-Distributed Common Ground Station (AF-DCGS) operations.
