Description

The Senior Enterprise Data Governance Professional implements and operates the company's data governance program, and applies seasoned knowledge to ensure data quality. The Senior Enterprise Data Governance Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Enterprise Data Governance Professional is responsible for data oversight, data usage, system analysis, and data retention to assure data quality standards. Some of the methods for doing so are:

* Collaboration with other departments to ensure data consistency and quality throughout the organization;
* Contribution to the development of data governance and data standards policies;
* Maintenance of documentation on data governance;
* Compilation of reports and metrics to conduct benchmarking and identify trends and patterns;
* Provides input to advance and improve the department's strategy;
* Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components; and
* Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments which should be performed with minimal direction.

This specific Senior Enterprise Data Governance Professional role will be working with Data Privacy. Specific duties will include, but not be limited to the operation of the Protected Information Review Council and the Records Management Steering Committee. Due to the nature of these committees, a strong knowledge of HIPAA and CMS regulations will be needed.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Experience with data privacy as it relates to data governance
* Demonstrated ability to run large scale, highly visible programs with responsibility for multiple project teams
* Strong knowledge of HIPAA and CMS regulations

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree
