Job Duties and Responsibilities

Senior Engineer - Software sought by DISH Network, LLC in Englewood, CO.

Develop and write complex computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve documents, data, and information; test and implement database changes applying knowledge of database management and governance; plan, lead, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases and data solutions to support regulatory needs; lead large data migration to support new business capabilities.

Req's: Master's in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or closely related, and 2 years of experience in software engineering (database architecture); or a combination of a Bachelor's in same fields plus 5 years' progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software engineering (database architecture); or any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.

Requires 2 years of software development experience in the following (may be obtained concurrently):

Working on Hadoop Hive for querying and analyzing large datasets stored in Hadoop files;

Data visualization using Kibana for advanced data analysis in a variety of charts, tables, and maps;

CRUD operations in Mongo DB to design collections, indexing, and text search;

Rapid diagramming for schema development;

Using Oracle, UNIX, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, SQL Server, Python, XML, JSON, Rally, Service Now, Gitlab, Ruby, and RSpec.
