Job Responsibilities

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for verifying and ensuring the health, stability and overall quality of business systems. This role ensures that products conform to business requirements/company policies, software quality standards, and established procedures. They will design, documents and implements procedures and techniques that are consistent with departmental SDFC Methodology for analyzing, testing, and evaluating the risk (software & business), accuracy, completeness, internal integrity/consistency, testability and overall quality of business systems and SDLC processes. The Senior Engineer, Quality Assurance recommends and assists in corrective actions taken at all stages of product life, and submits and tracks production (maintenance) and release issues in their respective systems. They will eventually develop automated regression test suites using automated testing tools.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

* Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback to create detailed, comprehensive and wellstructured test plans and test cases.
* Execute test plans and testing scripts.
* Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
* Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
* Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs, and Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
* Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs, and perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

Position Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Master's degree preferred.
* 5+ years of relevant experience, including software development and experience in software quality assurance required.
* Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases required.
* Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
* Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
* Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
* Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
* Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
