Job Description SummaryMAXIMUS is looking for a Senior Director with experience architecting, developing and implementing Enterprise business solutions utilizing Scaled Agile methodologies, DevSecOps tools, AWS / Azure / GCP cloud native services, COTS solutions, Emerging technologies, Cyber Security Architecture and Engineering, Enterprise IT Operations and Service Management. The role will include hands-on solution architecture, resource management, and implementation support. The individual must have over 15 years of experience that includes Defining and executing Technology Strategy and Direction for large enterprises, architecting, and managing enterprise business solutions, programs, product development, implementations with hands-on working experience across technology modern technology platforms. The candidate must have over 10 years of experience with Java / J2EE, Web Services based application architecture and middleware platforms including exposure to open source technologies such as Spring, Angular, Hibernate. Ideal candidate will have a wide range of experience architecting Microservices based solutions using, open source technology platforms such as Spring Boot, LightBend Akka. As a member of the Strategic Solutions group, the candidate must be able to operate independently and demonstrate experience leading/guiding a team to architect, develop and implement business solutions.Job Duties •The candidate will provide technical / business solution support during proposal development process, to include technology stack selection, solution architecture, and implementation methodology that spans Software, Enterprise Infrastructure and Cyber Security Architecture and Engineering•The candidate will design and develop modern secure enterprise business solutions leveraging technologies and design practices that enable a highly scalable and flexible solution for federal markets utilizing Hybrid Cloud solutions, Managed services, DevSecOps, MicroServices Architecture•The Candidate will help design and develop named / branded solutions, reference architecture and technology prototypes.•The Candidate is responsible for efficient and effective tracking of resources to ensure optimal utilization; ensuring quality of work products; timeliness and completeness of delivery•The candidate will lead and manage a team of senior solution architects to engage internal teams to architect solutions, facilitate solutions design and manage implementations•As a Sr. Architect will be responsible to guide and support RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, response development including writing of whitepapers and concept development•The candidate will be required to develop and provide presentations and demonstrations of technology solutions to both internal and external stakeholders•The candidate will be responsible to maintain vendor partnership levels and develop a strong vendor relationship with the technology counterpartEducation and Experience •BS in Computer Science or related engineering field•Recent hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise AWS technologies based solutions including leading a team of technical SMEs•5+ years of recent experience directly guiding and mentoring technical SMEs and providing management of program technical tasks•Proven experience communicating with non-technical business personnel and ability to interact and work in a team environment. •Must have a minimum of 15 years developing and architecting software solutions using JAVA, SOA and Microservices platform, Cloud Native services in AWS / GCP / Azure •Should have 5+ years of experience using Agile development methodology, and working experience in a DevSecOps environment is highly desired •Good understanding of technologies such as ESB/SOA, Microservices, Data Management, Analytics and Machine Learning, RPA, Cloud and technologies such as Blockchain•10 years of hands-on experience in architecting, leading and delivering enterprise Java based solutions using J2EE and enterprise COTS applications •Professional implementation experience should include both project management and solution architecture tasks to include designing, implementing and improving business processes•Strong have demonstrated skills with analytical problem solving abilities•Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills to senior management both internal and external including SMEs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide enterprise and systems architectural consultations to management, system sponsors, stewards and team members.- Participate and support review of RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, to architect and propose end-to-end infrastructure and platform engineered solutions.- Participate across all phases of the solution lifecycle related to infrastructure and platform engineering starting with pre-sales solutions architecture support, resource identification, and implementation support with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation of solution.- Provide technical solution architecture and design support, including propose technical architecture, solution design, and implementation methodology.- Explore newer technologies and platforms to leverage and include in newer program pursuits.- Architect custom, reusable solutions that can be leveraged across the organization.- Utilize detailed understanding of the client/project processes to ensure corresponding infrastructure and platform alignment.- Define and implement architectural governance to ensure scalable and extendable architecture.- Develop technically and operationally feasible long-term IT strategies and plans.- Identify, explore and recommend emerging technologies including analysis of impact.- Collaborate with project leads, program managers, and managers to develop detailed project plans and work breakdown structures for division, center level projects.- Provide technical documentation of consultations to management and system sponsors and stewards.Minimum Requirements:- Directs and controls the activities of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups or service areas through senior managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas.- Consistently works with abstract ideas or situations across functional areas of the business.- Through assessment of intangible variables, identifies and evaluates fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction for major functional areas.- Requires in-depth knowledge of the functional area, business strategies, and the company's goals.- Interacts internally and externally with executive level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters.- Influences policymaking.- Reports to VP level.
