The Automobile Club of Southern California is seeking an experience Senior VDI Systems Engineer with a deep working knowledge and experience in Virtual Desktop Interface infrastructure that involves design and plan, configuration and install, upgrade and expansion, support and maintenance.

Requirements:

* Experience in configuring Citrix Netscaler to establish VDI accesses for users (from both Internal and external portals), planning VIPs, SNIPs, GSLB, Auth, etc.


* Experience in AD LDAP, Clearpass MFA using Radius/SAS, ArcSight syslog management and their interactions with Netscaler


* Able to build, diagnose and maintain Citrix Store Front servers, Citrix Desktop Delivery Controller Servers, Citrix License Server, Citrix Desktop Delivery Controller Servers, Citrix WEM Servers


* Highly skillful with building vCenters and VMs on VMWare vSphere6.5/6.7 platform (Nutanix hardware), networking the virtual environment as an integral part of VDI infrastructure, defining and deploying appropriate ports to CVM, ESXi, Foundation and OVA Prisim Central and vCenter


* Good knowledge in setting up Admin Jump Box connecting to IPMI, Foundation and Prism Central with all necessary and appropriate ports defined


* Highly proficient with MSC 2016 SQL servers, establishing and maintain the SQL server clustering between two different data centers over GSLB (F5 big IP)


* Experience in XenDesktop 7.x & 6.x, XenApp 7.x & 6.x, provisioning services, installation, configuration as well as troubleshooting methodologies at each component level.


* Good knowledge in security measures including but not limited to firewall rules and policies, Data Encryption, TLS1.2, ArcSight, TrendMicro, AD LDAP, MFA and so on.


* Good Knowledge on Load Balancing and High Availability for network high-availability concepts, Active-Passive and Active-Active, GSLB etc.


* Diagnose and troubleshoot VDI issues around performance, access and usability.


* Good understanding of profile management and GPO.


* Proved experience in leading VDI project design, plan, configuration, installation, testing, maintain and upgrade.


* Good scripting knowledge is preferred for automation using platform such as Ansible.


* After-hours support rotation and implementation as needed.


* Four year college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience.


* Experience and expert-level understanding of Citrix XenDesktop / XenApp 7.x. to include overall design and architecture, as well as policy configuration.


* Experience using Citrix NetScaler to perform load balancing and access gateway functionality. Familiarity with smart card technology.


* Experience with Citrix profile management and folder redirection.


* Understanding of Microsoft Group Policy and Active Directory.


* Extensive experience in Microsoft operating systems, both workstation and server.


* Must possess a strong technical understanding of Windows infrastructure services (e.g. AD, GPO, CIFS, and DFS) within the enterprise.


* Experience with VMware ESX in a clustered environment.


* Experience with thin clients and desktop migration projects.
