Job Description

The Sabre Hotels team is focused on developing and maintaining the platform that supports the Hotels distribution needs of our Travel Network partners. This platform connects 170,000+ hotels to some of the world's largest online and offline travel agencies. All the applications are high volume, multi-instance and critical.

As a Senior Systems Engineer (DevOps Engineer), you will be responsible for building and maintaining build pipeline with CI/CD and ensuring highest availability of production environment using state of the art technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Change management - create change requests (CR) and participate in CAB meetings to represent the CRs
* Incident and problem management - Own and drive production incidents to closure with minimum MTTR and participate in problem management calls to ensure preventive action items are derived and take them to closure
* Ensuring the systems are compliant under various guidelines (PCI, GDPR etc) and adhere to audit requirements
* Maintaining highest security standards by applying frequent software patches and vulnerability remediations
* Building and maintaining CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins
* Building DevOps tool chain and maintaining them
* Play a key role in migrating application from managed data-center to AWS cloud
* Ideate and implement solutions to automate the operations work
* Participate in on-call rotation to ensure production's system availability is 100%
* Coaching and mentoring junior team members

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's of Engineering or eqivalent.

Qualification and Skills:

* 5-7 years of experience in managing large scale and complex production architecture in managed datacenter as well as in AWS cloud
* 2-3 years of hands on experience on below tools/technologies/scripts
* GIT
* Jenkins
* Dockers
* Kubernetes
* AWS cloud services
* Rundeck
* Ansible configuration man
* Nagios/Sensu
* ELK
* Any two of the following scripting languages - Python/shell scripting/YAML/Ruby
* One of the following configuration management tools - Chec/Ansible/Puppet
* Tomcat/Apache
* Oracle PL/Sql


* Excellent knowledge in application deployment architecture
* Expert knowledge in Linux operating system
* Hands on experience in building CI/CD pipeline
* Proven experience in creating and maintaining Docker containers and Kubernetes
* Must have good knowledge on ITIL process
